Fall Booties

dsc00870

It’s the best time of the year which means the cutest shoes are back ! I realized last year that I went a bit crazy buying all thigh high and over the knee boots that this year I’ll put my focus more onto booties. Fall is the perfect time for a little peep toe bootie which allows you still shoe off that pedicure without having your feet freezing in the cooler days and nights. Some of the biggest trends when it comes to booties and boots this season are the lace up or just keep it simple with one color along with a chunky or stacked heels. These booties can easily dress up any casual outfit or even be the pop of fall color you need in your wardrobe !

I was so excited to finally receive my Carli Bybel x Missguided bomber in the mail that I have been waiting for since she previewed it before the collection came out! I recently went to roof top brunch in NYC which was a a first for me so I thought why not go all out with this bomber and a rhinestone choker?! This silk-like bomber is laced up on the sleeves and light enough for that transition between the season while still being trendy of course. Details are all listed below : )

Black, White, & Glitter Room Decor

dsc00796

I’ve finally finished my room after working on it and getting all my ideas together collectively since January. A black and white theme with touches of gold in my opinion is a classic but also keeps up with modern times. I have become so in love with my room that I never want to leave !

dsc00788

Gold foil lips on canvas was a steal at only $25 from Hobby Lobby. Originals can go up to $200 so if you can find a good knockoff or even have the skills to do it yourself go right ahead!

“New York” & “Haute Mess” wall art was actually a DIY project I decided to do was made simply on Word and I put them in inexpensive picture frames from Walmart.

dsc00789

The hanging tissue paper poms were also a simple DIY project that took less than an hour to do. There are various tutorials on Pinterest and YouTube if you’re interested in the different ways you can make them.

“Be Bold Be Fear Less” caught my eye the moment I walked into Franchesca’s with the gold glitter which is one thing I am obsessed with! This store has the best cute and unique novelty items that are perfect for gifts or for home decor along with some of the latest fashions. Direct link to this wall art & more here .

On one side of my bed I have an 18 shoe holder unit where I keep my flats and sandals at. On top, I pulled inspiration from Pinterest on how I should decorate a “night stand”. Instead of coffee table books, I used my school yearbooks since the covers of them are black and go perfectly with my theme. I love white flowers and roses so I got some fake ones from craft store and neatly placed them into a modern cube vase. I also wanted to show my love for makeup so I saved a Sephora and Bobbi Brown bag to add a few accents.

As for the other side of my bed, I have a 6 drawer Alex unit from IKEA to store more of my makeup and hair products. Being that this storage unit is so wide, it gave me enough room on top to decorate and display more of my obsessions like sunglasses which I cant seem to get enough of. I also keep my nail polishes here, some in a candy jar and some that were small enough to fit in lipstick holder from Marshall’s. I like to keep my notebooks here too in easy reach for me to jot down ideas and organize myself for future blog posts.

This corner I decided will be changing with the seasons and that is why it currently has pumpkins on it. The “A” is from Target but you can easily get it at any craft store and just as I did, glued some (a lot) of glitter on it lol. I just can’t get enough of the glitter ! The pumpkins and all the pillows on my bed are also from Target, which has the best home decor EVER ! Trust me, you will leave that store with more things than you wanted..

I am so happy with how my room turned out and can’t wait to enjoy my days blogging on this pillow filled bed !

Summer Sixteen Favorites

DSC00783

This summer flew by too fast for me to separate my favorite products into the different months so I decided to combine them and show you guys my top favorites that I always seemed to reach for this summer. These products I found to be the best for my sin to keep me matte during the hot days but also give me that perfect glowy and bronzy skin everyone longs for in the summer! All products will be listed below with prices and direct links : )

FACE

Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer – $16-$39 . I’ve been wanting to try this primer for such a long time and was so happy to see I received it in my Play by Sephora monthly subscription box. This primer is great for those with oily skin and large pores.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation – $43 . Flawless finish with this foundation, not too thick for the summer and long lasting. Available in a wide range of colors for every skin tone.

Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Setting Spray – $14-$30 . Exactly what the name says, it will de-slick your face and keep you matte for hours. This is probably the most essential product you could have during the hot summer months or even all year round for those with oily skin.

BRONZE & GLOW

When it comes to bronzing & highlighting this summer, I loved to mix products to get that perfect glowy and bronzy look

Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer – $29 mixed with Too Faced Soiel Matte Bronzer $30 in Chocolate

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit – $40 in Gleam (shade used – Mimosa) mixed with Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator – $26 in Gilded Honey

EYES

Ardell Studio Effects Wispies – $5.49 . These lashes are probably my all time favorite lashes now ! I already love the Ardell Wispies, but during my last time at Ulta i noticed they had these “Studio Effects” ones and I thought the more lash the better!

LIPS

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Lolita – $20. This dark rose color is my favorite for this transition into fall but also for those late summer nights I had and wanted to glam up a bit. This is the most popular color she has come out with and I fully understand why ! The formula is also my favorite liquid lipstick formula out on the market.

NYX Butter Gloss in Fortune Cookie – $4.99. For those times where I don’t want matte lips and want to keep with the glowy/glossy feeling, I put this lip gloss on top of a nude lipstick. The perfect nude gloss without being sticky and annoying like most glosses are.

I’ll be back again with my favorites for this transition into my favorite season and leave this unbearable hot weather behind !

Summer’s Over Interlude

DSC00757

The summer came… and left just as fast. For my last summer outfit post, i wanted to do something that included all of my favorites with a pop of what’s to come for the fall. Off the shoulder tops, ripped jeans, and chokers were definitely the essentials to my outfits this summer so of course I had to do it one last time. Pairing it with a wine colored crossbody purse gave the outfit the “it’s almost fall” feel I’ve been wanting since the summer started. I hope you all enjoyed your summer & are looking forward to this holiday season as much as I am ! All details below : )
